Day 2
Bangkok City Tour, The Grand Palace, Wat Phra Kaew, Wat Pho, Wat Traimit, Boat ride along The Chao Phraya River, Wat Arun

After a hearty breakfast, we begin a full-day exploration of Bangkok — the radiant City of Golden Temples.

Our first stop is the iconic Grand Palace, an expansive architectural marvel covering over two square kilometers. This historic complex, once the royal residence, now hosts the Kingdom’s most important ceremonial events. Within its walls lies Wat Phra Kaew, home to the revered Emerald Buddha. Built in 1785 by King Rama I, this temple stands as a masterpiece of Thai craftsmanship and spiritual heritage.

Next, we visit Wat Pho, the oldest and largest temple in Bangkok. Here, over a thousand Buddha images reside, including the awe-inspiring Reclining Buddha draped in gold. Wat Pho is also recognized as the birthplace of traditional Thai massage, where a renowned medical school continues to pass on ancient healing arts.

Our journey continues to Wat Traimit, famed for housing the world’s largest solid gold Buddha statue. This gleaming figure symbolizes purity, prosperity, and inner strength — revered qualities in Thai culture.

After a delicious lunch, we set off on a scenic boat ride along the Chao Phraya River, gliding past stilted homes, temples, and the daily life of riverbank communities.

We make a memorable stop at Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn. Perched gracefully along the riverbank, Wat Arun dazzles with its towering spires adorned in shimmering glass and delicate Chinese porcelain — a unique contrast to Bangkok’s other temples.

As the day winds down, we return to the hotel. The evening is yours to enjoy at leisure — perhaps explore the vibrant night markets, savor street food, or simply soak in the atmosphere of Bangkok after dark.

Day 3
Bangkok (Mae Klong Railway Market, Damnoen Saduak Floating Market), Kanchanaburi (Jeath War Museum and Cemetery, 30 minutes train ride along Wang Pho (Death Railway)

Following breakfast, leave the bustle of Bangkok behind and journey into the peaceful countryside of Samut Songkhram Province, just over an hour away.

Your first stop is the fascinating Mae Klong Railway Market — a one-of-a-kind market set right on the train tracks. Watch as vendors calmly pull back their goods just seconds before the train passes through, then resume business as if nothing happened — a truly unforgettable display of timing and tradition.

Next, continue to the world-famous Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, where wooden boats glide along narrow canals, offering everything from tropical fruits to handmade crafts. Enjoy a serene paddle boat ride through the quieter sections of the market and soak in the charm of Thailand’s timeless waterway culture.

Later, make your way to Kanchanaburi, a province steeped in poignant history. Visit the JEATH War Museum and the Allied War Cemetery, honoring the memories of those who lived and died during World War II.

In the afternoon, board a train for a scenic 30-minute ride along the historic Wang Pho (Death Railway) — a railway built under harrowing conditions by prisoners of war, now offering peaceful views of riverside cliffs and forests.

Conclude your day with a drive to your hotel.

Comfortable walking shoes are recommended, and don’t forget your swimsuit — the crystal-clear emerald pools are perfect for a dip in nature’s embrace.

In the afternoon, continue your journey to the ancient capital of Ayutthaya, once known as the “Venice of the East” for its scenic network of rivers and canals. Founded in 1350 by King Uthong, Ayutthaya flourished as a powerful Siamese kingdom and cultural crossroads for over four centuries. Today, its hauntingly beautiful ruins and riverside charm offer a glimpse into Thailand’s royal past.

Following breakfast, begin your exploration of the remarkable Ayutthaya Historical Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site filled with echoes of a once-glorious kingdom.

Start with a visit to Wat Phu Khao Thong, or the Monastery of the Golden Mount, set just outside the city. This striking white chedi rises dramatically above the surrounding rice fields — a symbol of Ayutthaya’s resilience and spiritual heritage.

Continue to the heart of the old capital with a visit to Wat Phra Si Sanphet, the royal monastery once part of the ancient Grand Palace. Nearby, admire the majestic Viharn Phra Mongkol Bopit, home to one of Thailand’s largest bronze Buddha statues — a powerful symbol of devotion and craftsmanship.

After time for lunch at your leisure, the journey continues to Wat Lokaya Sutha, where a massive reclining Buddha rests peacefully in the open air, wrapped in a saffron cloth and surrounded by the remnants of old temple columns.

Your final stop is the Bang Pa-In Summer Palace, a beautifully landscaped royal retreat built during the Ayutthaya era. Stroll among gardens, pavilions, and lakes that reflect a fascinating blend of Thai, Chinese, Khmer, and European architecture — a peaceful and fitting close to your journey through Thailand’s royal heartlands.
