Arrival in Siem Reap – Floating Village & Cultural Discovery
Welcome to Siem Reap, the gateway to Cambodia’s ancient wonders. Upon arrival, meet your guide and transfer to your hotel (check-in from 14:00).
Your journey begins with a scenic drive to Kampong Pluk Floating Village — a fascinating community built on towering stilts above the floodplains of Tonlé Sap Lake. Afterward, hop into a traditional Cambodian tuk-tuk—a fun and breezy way to explore the temples like a local. Feel the fresh morning air as you ride through shaded forest roads and ancient ruins.
Discover the grandeur of Angkor Wat, a masterpiece of Khmer architecture symbolizing Mount Meru, adorned with intricate carvings and graceful Apsara dancers.
Continue to Angkor Thom, entering through its majestic South Gate. Explore:
- Bayon Temple – known for its serene, smiling stone faces
- The Royal Palace area, Elephant Terrace, and Leper King Terrace—rich with history and detailed bas-reliefs
