Chiang Mai, Wat Phra Singh Temple, Wat Phan Tao, Wat Chedi Luang, Central Market Warorot, Doi Suthep Hill

After breakfast at the hotel, start your morning immersing yourself in the rich history of Chiang Mai’s Old City. Begin with a visit to the ancient city walls and moat, which date back to the 13th century and once protected the kingdom. Then see one of the original gates still standing today.

Wander through stunning temples including Wat Phra Singh, famous for its classic Lanna-style architecture and the revered Lion Buddha statue; Wat Phan Tao, built entirely of teak wood without using any nails; and Wat Chedi Luang, home to a massive 14th-century pagoda that once housed the Emerald Buddha.

Stroll along streets lined with traditional wooden houses before enjoying a classic rickshaw ride, a nostalgic way locals used to get around the old city. Your journey ends at Warorot Market (Kad Luang), Chiang Mai’s bustling central market, where locals shop for fresh produce, textiles, and street food.

Lunch is at your leisure at one of the many nearby eateries.

In the afternoon, ascend to Doi Suthep Temple, perched 1,060 meters above sea level. It’s one of Thailand’s most sacred temples, offering panoramic views of Chiang Mai and an impressive golden chedi believed to house a relic of the Buddha.
