DAY 1

Welcome to Hanoi! As you step off the plane, you’ll be greeted by our friendly local representative who will whisk you away to kick off your unforgettable journey. Prepare to be captivated by the rich history and vibrant culture of Vietnam’s capital city on this half-day sightseeing adventure.

Your first stop is the iconic Ba Dinh Square, where the spirit of Ho Chi Minh reigns supreme. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to pay your respects at Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and appreciate the historical significance of his former residence (note that this is viewed from the outside, as it is closed on Mondays, Fridays, and throughout October and November, as well as during afternoons).

Next, take a moment to marvel at the enchanting One Pillar Pagoda, an architectural gem rising gracefully from the center of a serene square lake. This stunning structure, built in the form of a lotus blossom, embodies both beauty and spirituality.

As your journey continues, immerse yourself in the wisdom of the past at the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first national university dedicated to Confucius. Wander through its tranquil courtyards and admire intricate architecture that has stood the test of time.

After a delightful lunch, it’s time to check in at your cozy hotel and unwind. Feel free to explore the charming streets of the Hanoi Old Quarter at your leisure. Here, you can dive into the local culture, browse unique shops, and savor the bustling atmosphere. Don’t miss the chance to visit the Dong Xuan Market, the Opera House, and take a peaceful stroll around Hoan Kiem Lake, where the emerald waters and the iconic The Huc Bridge create postcard-perfect views. Be sure to visit Thap But (Pen Tower) and the serene Ngoc Son Temple nestled on an island in the lake.

As the sun sets, indulge in a delightful dinner at a local restaurant, savoring the flavors of authentic Vietnamese cuisine.

To conclude your day, immerse yourself in the enchanting world of Vietnamese culture with a captivating performance of the traditional Water Puppetry at the theatre. This memorable art form will leave you mesmerized and provide a fitting end to an incredible day in Hanoi.

Day 2

Hanoi, Lang Son, Quang Uyen (Chi Lang Pass, Quay Mon Quan Gate, Dong Dan Town, Mother’s Temple and Dong Khe)

After savoring a delightful breakfast at your hotel, your adventure begins! Your knowledgeable guide will meet you at your accommodation in Hanoi, and from there, you’ll journey to Lang Son, a captivating province steeped in history, perched on the Vietnam-China border.

Your first stop is the breathtaking Chi Lang Pass, a remarkable 20-km stretch nestled between two towering mountains. This stunning natural wonder is not only a feast for the eyes but also a site of great historical significance, having played a pivotal role in Vietnam’s victories against invading forces throughout the ages. Here, you’ll spend an hour exploring the legendary “Quy Mon Quan” gate—known as the Gate of Monsters. This historic entryway was once a critical passage for invaders, who met their fate at the hands of courageous Vietnamese defenders.

After an exhilarating morning, enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant in Dong Dang town, where you can sample authentic Vietnamese cuisine and recharge for the afternoon’s explorations.

Next, immerse yourself in history at the serene Mother’s Temple, a revered site that pays tribute to maternal devotion. Then, you’ll journey to Dong Khe, the scene of a pivotal battle during the First Indochina War. As the day winds down, continue your travels to the vibrant city of Cao Bang, where a sumptuous dinner awaits. After a day filled with rich history and stunning scenery, you’ll unwind and relax as you settle in for the night, reflecting on the adventures and stories that have shaped this remarkable region.

Here, amidst rolling hills and lush mountains, you’ll witness the age-old art of traditional blacksmithing. The skilled craftsmen produce farming tools that are not just artifacts but vital elements of daily life, evident as you stroll through the verdant rice paddies and fields that surround the village.

Next, prepare to be captivated by the breathtaking Ban Gioc Waterfall, a natural wonder that cascades over 300 meters, straddling both Vietnam and China. Spend some time soaking in the powerful atmosphere of the falls, listen to the roar of the water, and capture stunning photographs that will surely be the highlight of your travel memories.
