Day 2
Hanoi to Sa Pa (Lao Cai, Cat Cat Village)

After enjoying a delightful breakfast at your hotel, gather your energy for an early start. At 07:00, meet your charismatic guide in the hotel lobby, ready to embark on an unforgettable adventure. Prepare for a scenic 295-kilometer drive from the bustling streets of Hanoi to the breathtaking hills of Sapa, traversing five picturesque provinces: Hanoi, Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho, Yen Bai, and Lao Cai. As you cruise along the modern highway, take a moment to soak in the stunning countryside views and feel the anticipation build.

Around mid-morning, take a well-deserved break at 11:00 in the charming city of Lao Cai. Stretch your legs, grab a quick snack, and savor the local atmosphere before continuing the journey to your destination.

By 13:00, you’ll arrive in Sapa, a vibrant town renowned for its stunning landscapes and the colorful traditional costumes of its ethnic communities, including the H’mong, Dzao, and Tay people. As you step into this cultural tapestry, get ready to be captivated by the rich heritage surrounding you.

In the afternoon, hop on a short drive to the entrance of Cat Cat village, nestled at the foot of the majestic Fansipan Peak. This village is home to the Black H’ mong ethnic people, and it’s a perfect spot to immerse yourself in their daily life and culture. Embark on an invigorating trek down to the valley, where you’ll discover a picturesque waterfall and the historic Hydraulic Power Station. The trek covers approximately 2.5 kilometers and lasts about two hours, offering you a unique glimpse into the lifestyle of the locals. Sa Pa, Fansipan Peak (Cable Car Ride, Fansipan Pagoda, Roof of Indochina), Back to Hanoi

Take a leisurely walk from the hotel to the nearby Muong Hoa Station. Here, you’ll board a charming train that will whisk you away to the Fansipan Cable Car Station. Enjoy a scenic 7-minute ride that treats you to breathtaking views of the magnificent Muong Hoa Valley below.

Once at the cable car station, buckle up for a spectacular 20-minute ride in a state-of-the-art cable car. As you ascend, be mesmerized by the stunning landscapes that unfold before your eyes. Reaching an altitude of 2,800 meters, you’ll have ample time to soak in the panoramic views, snap some memorable photos, and explore the tranquil pagoda, a true spiritual gem nestled in the mountains.

For the adventurous at heart, a trek of 600 steps awaits you! Allow approximately 20-30 minutes to reach the breathtaking peak of Fansipan, known affectionately as the Roof of Indochina. Take your time to relish the surroundings, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and capture the beauty of your surroundings. You’ll spend about 1.5 hours hiking and taking photos, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

After your exhilarating hike, descend back to the cable car station and enjoy the ride down before taking the charming train back to Sapa Town. Once you arrive, treat yourself to a delicious lunch at a local eatery, sampling some of the region’s best flavors.

Post-lunch, it’s your time to unwind. Stroll through the vibrant streets of Sapa Town, soak up the local culture, or simply relax in a cozy café.

At around 14:30, gather your belongings and hop into your comfortable vehicle for the journey back to Hanoi. With two refreshing comfort breaks along the way, you can sit back, relax, and reflect on the incredible day you’ve just experienced.

When it’s time to say goodbye, meet your guide in the hotel lobby for a warm farewell. After this, enjoy some leisure time to soak up the last moments of your journey at your own pace before your transfer to Hanoi/Noi Bai International Airport for your departure flight. Make the most of this relaxing time, reflecting on your adventures and cherishing the memories you’ve created! Safe travels!
