You’ll embark on a scenic 295-kilometer drive to Sapa via a new highway, meandering through five enchanting provinces: Ha Noi, Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho, Yen Bai, and Lao Cai.
As you cruise along, soak in the breathtaking landscapes, dotted with lush rice fields and charming villages. Here’s a chance to stretch your legs during a 30-minute comfort break, where you can grab a snack or simply enjoy the surrounding beauty.
Your journey continues, and at around 11:00, you’ll make a second stop in the vibrant city of Lao Cai. Take this opportunity to explore the local culture and prepare for the final leg of your trip to Sapa.
Arrive in Sapa by lunchtime, where the air is filled with the vibrant colors and sounds of daily life. The town is alive with the traditional costumes of the H’mong, Dzao, and Tay ethnic groups, creating an extraordinary atmosphere that is unique to this region.
After a hearty lunch, it’s time to embark on a short drive to the picturesque entrance of Cat Cat village, the homeland of the Black H’mong people. Nestled at the foot of the majestic Fansipan Peak, this village offers a fantastic glimpse into the daily lives of its residents.
Prepare for an exhilarating trek through breathtaking landscapes! A 2.5 km path takes you deep into the valley, where you can witness the stunning waterfall and the historic Hydraulic Power Station. Feeling adventurous? Lace up your shoes for a trek up approximately 600 steps—an exhilarating hike that will take around 20-30 minutes, leading you to the pinnacle of Fansipan, lovingly dubbed the “Roof of Indochina.” Revel in the sense of achievement as you reach the summit, where you can linger for about 1.5 hours, capturing memories and savoring the spectacular scenery that surrounds you.
