Day 2
Athens, half-day city tour with New Museum (Panathinaiko Stadium, University of Athens, Academy of Athens, National Library, National Garden, Hadrian’s Arc, St. paul’s Church, Parliament, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Schliemann’s House, Acropolis (Propylae, Temple of Athena Nike, Parthenon, Erechteion with its Porch of Maidens), Herodion and Dionysos Theater, Acropolis Museum)

After breakfast at the hotel, embark on a captivating half-day Athens city tour. Start with a photo stop at the historic Panathinaiko Stadium, the only stadium in the world built entirely of white marble and home to the first modern Olympic Games in 1896. Continue past the Zappeion and the Temple of Olympian Zeus, before marveling at the Athens Trilogy—the University of Athens, the Academy of Athens, and the National Library.

As you drive through the city, admire landmarks including the National Garden, Hadrian’s Arch, St. Paul’s Church, Parliament, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Schliemann’s House (Numismatic Museum), Catholic Cathedral, Old Parliament, Constitution Square, and the Russian Orthodox Church.

The highlight is the legendary Acropolis, where you’ll explore the Propylaea, Temple of Athena Nike, Parthenon, and Erechtheion with its iconic Porch of the Caryatids. A pleasant walk past the Herodion and Theater of Dionysus leads you to the Acropolis Museum, where masterpieces such as votive offerings, statues from the archaic period, and the Parthenon hall with its metopes, pediments, and frieze await to impress and inspire. Day 3
Athens to Delphi ( Temple of Apollo and Ancient ruins, Lamia, Kalambaka), Meteora.

After breakfast at the hotel, depart Athens for a journey into the heart of classical Greece. Arrive in Delphi around noon, famed for its theater, Temple of Apollo, and ancient ruins. Once considered the center of the earth and the universe, Delphi played a central role in the classical Greek world. Explore the archaeological site and the Temple of Apollo, home to the legendary oracle.

After lunch in Delphi, continue your scenic drive through Central Greece, passing the cities of Lamia (short stop) and Trikala, across the fertile Thessalian plain. Arrive in Kalambaka, a charming town nestled at the foot of majestic grey rocks, dominated by the awe-inspiring Meteora Monasteries. Take a short stop for souvenirs and evening photos. Overnight stay in Kalambaka.

Day 4
Kalambaka, Meteora (visit cliff-top monasteries Byzantine), back to Athens

After breakfast at the hotel, begin your day exploring Meteora, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Greece’s most breathtaking landscapes. Visit two of the cliff-top Byzantine monasteries, marveling at their architecture perched atop towering sandstone formations. These monasteries, built centuries ago as inaccessible retreats for monks, offer panoramic views over the surrounding plains and a glimpse into a world of devotion and serenity.

On your return to Athens, you may optionally visit a Byzantine icon factory to see traditional craftsmanship in action. Pause for a short photo stop at the heroic monument of Leonidas, the legendary King of Sparta, in Thermopylae, before arriving back in Athens in the late afternoon. Overnight in Athens.

Athens Departure
